Medway's Women's Novice crew won at the Lea beating two UL, Queen Mary College crews. In the heat our crew had an excellent start and took a canvas lead in the first 10 strokes, held it for the next 30 and went away to half a length. At this point the pressure told on the QMC crew and they caught a crab which allowed our crew to extend their lead. QMC were never really able to recover and MTRC went on to win by 4 lengths.

In the final they again had a very good start taking half a length in the first 20 strokes and moving away over the course to win by 2-1/2 lengths, looking very good in the process.
