Junior Rowing

MTRC has purchased a new boat specifically to teach newcomers to scull and has been found particularly successful in coaching Juniors.  The purchase of the boat was made possible by a generous donation made by one of the Club's Vice Presidents namely Dave Cooper. Dave, more popularly known as "Ginge," was keen to see the Novice and Junior department's develop and the boat that now bears his name has several unique features. It is a very stable boat that can be rigged as a quad with coxswain which makes it ideal for Juniors or it can be rigged for five to scull. In addition it has alternative riggers which enable it to be converted for sweep oared rowing should it be required. The Club extends a debt of gratitude to Dave Cooper for his generosity.
