2011 - Medway Universities Boatrace
The fifth Medway Universities Boatrace took place on Saturday 14th May and the race has become a major event on the Medway calendar The men's race was won for the third time in succession by Greenwich University. None of the three Universities could raise a Ladies team but together they produced a formidable unit that a crew of Ladies from Medway Towns Rowing Club sportingly challenged to maintain continuity in the category.
For the first time in the men's race, three eights lined up for the start and Greenwich immediately took the lead followed by University of Kent and then Christ Church. All three crews were very good but Greenwich were masters of the race and won for the third time in succession. Click below for photographs and details of the races.
